Don't forget to vote!

And whilst you do, think of me, who can't - at least not in the country where I live. What was that? Taxation without representation? Ring a bell?

Just kidding. I don't understand the parliamentary system, so I'd make a lousy British voter anyway...

  3. Vote Green.

They'll (probably) never get in, but their a good alternative for a second party.

You can guarantee Manchester will remain red regardless.

  4. Sorry - 'they're,' not 'their.' (see above)

Anyway. Whod've thunk that Labour would get in again?

I voted. Did anyone else? I know one other person in Manchester central who did. For shame everyone!

Well as these were the local council elections you don't need to understand our parliamentary system.
I know many thought they were voting for their MP. The British electorate are as thick as they come.

  7. Ian, I meant that in general I'd make a lousy voter, not just in this specific election. I certainly understand it was for the local council - I live in Chorley, where the conservatives won for the first time since 1982!
